We administer the Warmer Healthier Homes Te Tau Ihu insulation project, providing insulation grants for eligible people in Nelson, Tasman, and Marlborough.
Grants are available to insulate properties where the resident homeowner holds a valid Community Services Card (for up to 100% of the cost).

The positive effects of improved insulation in homes are well documented:
The Warmer Healthier Homes (WHH) project began in Nelson-Tasman in 2014 and was extended to Marlborough in 2015. It aims to support people most in need to improve insulation and heating efficiency in their homes. The rationale is that by assisting people to improve their living environments, their family's health also benefits and the productivity of the community rises.
Warmer Healthier Homes has insulated over 3000 low-income homes so far across Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough. The WHH Steering Committee and WHH Trustees work to channel contributions from many funding partners. These efforts leverage significant grants from the government's Warmer Kiwi Homes fund.
NTHT works closely with the Warmer Healthier Homes Te Tau Ihu Charitable Trust to maintain the WHH project.
Warmer Healthier Homes relies on the support from the following funders and partners:
